Basement Walls Are Up!!!

Mason thought it was pretty cool to stand in the windows.

Just to give you an idea of how tall the windows are....

Braylee Kaedyn, Madison and Brookie all pretending to be stuck inside the window wells. They had a fun time jumping down inside and trying to figure out all the different ways they could get out!

Since we made the basement ceiling a little taller than most basements we decided to put in bigger windows so they were proportioned with the walls. We didn't realize how big the windows were really going to be. We will definitely be putting grates over the window wells!!! It's a long ways down...

We have some walls!!!

The crew keeps telling us that we don't have to worry about our basement being dark because we have some BIG windows for plenty of light. They are sealing the cement and back filling the rest of this week and then the framing starts next week. We are so excited!!! We love where our new house is so much that Mason thinks we should just sleep there with air mattresses and sleeping bags.

It just feels like home and we love that feeling...
